Timeline 06JUL2014 Finals day at the 3rd Round of Super One in Larkhall, Scotland. Given the unlucky results of my heats on Sat, I was happy to make it through straight to the final and not have to go through repercharge, albeit on P23. I was in high spirits on the way to the track, as evident in the attached video :-) I got a good start in Final 1 which helped me to finish 5th after starting 23rd. Sadly, my engine just wouldnt go at the start of Final 2 and I dropped from 5th to 30th after only two corners. It was tough but I made up 16 places to finish 14th by the end of the race. All in all, not a bad weekend, considering that I hadnt been in a kart in four weeks: 9th in TQ, 5th in Final 1, battling my way from last to 14th in Final 2, and one of the fastest times in both Finals. Joint-placed 13th overall out of 52 drivers. I am gutted at the missed chance in Final 2 but I am not too unhappy with the weekend. Looking forward to Kimbolton next weekend.
