Tina and I went to eat tonight at Chilis in Decatur. Weve always had good experiences eating there. Tonight, not so much. Im trying to eat in a manner that will produce looser fitting clothes. I ordered their rib-eye, cooked rare. The first (yeah, I said first) steak came out overcooked. Our waiter thought it might be so he waited for me to cut into it. He offered to get me another one. The second steak was laced with those white membranes that are difficult to cut and almost impossible to chew. I informed the waiter. He went to get the manager. The manager came out with an attitude. Those of you who know me know that I dont handle attitudes very well. It is unusual for someone to cop an attitude with me. Some think my natural expression is reminiscent of a serial killer, masking my sweet disposition. Once he and I got his attitude sorted out, he offered to bring out a third steak. The third steak was actually cold to the touch. The butter on top of it was not only not melting, I believe the cold was causing the butter to get harder. By then Tina had finished eating and I just canceled my order. FYI, the rib-eyes at Sweetie Pies are TEN TIMES better than the rib-eyes at Chilis.
