Only recommend people you have worked alongside for a few years (and vice versa). If they mess up you will look bad, so make sure it’s someone you know and trust to make sure they reflect well on you. If you want someone to recommend you, you need to capitalise on the moment. At the end of each project or job, send whoever has hired you the link to your profile and ask them if they would mind leaving a comment, then use it.
