Tis the Season to be Irritable, I see. _I_ was up most of last night finishing a major chunk of MOBY so it could go to the editors before Christmas--whats your excuse? OK, let me say a couple things here: 1. We had a minor misunderstanding in several directions this morning, owing to a negligible posting error that had people (including me) reading and responding to two slightly different posts. 2. I read the second post and replied generally to a lot of people who had (unbeknownst to me) read the -first- post. 3. Some of these people thought my reply was funny, some thought it rude or insulting. I apologize unreservedly to people who thought it was rude. I try very hard not to be rude to people. On the other hand...you cant possibly have been reading my books with any attention and not realize that I am naturally sarcastic. A side effect of this is that there have always been (and likely always will be) a small number of people who think Im insulting them, when Im not. The only reasonable thing to do is to apologize when this happens. 4. Now, I removed my original reply, because it was made in ignorance of what was actually happening (see two posts, above), and consequently, the whole ensuing conversation was full of confusion and contradiction. I dont see any reason for ANYONE to waste time on something so piffling, so removed it and posted a clarified reply. OK. Having shipped off Section 5 in good order (and Im very pleased with it, so am happy this morning in spite of lack of sleep)--I invite you to rejoice with me!), Im taking a few hours to try to finalize as much Christmas stuff as I can so I wont be distracted while I deal with the next chunk of book this month. I wish you all a Blessed and Peaceful Advent, and a very Happy Holiday. See you later tonight! (If youre lucky, you may get the Chapter Titles from the just-completed Section 5...)
