Abnormalities in glycosylation are linked to cancer and many other diseases. The glycosylation of healthy and diseased cells often diverges resulting in glycan changes that may contribute to pathological progression. Thus changes in glycosylation provide promise for the diagnosis and therapeutics of a wide variety of cancers .
