To ALL of YOU my (Our) Class of 76 Classmates and Beloved 4-Ever Roper Friends!! Again, I come to each and every one of you with even a heavier heart than I believer ever than before. I have some very Sad News to share with YOU! This is a day in time I have dreaded for nearly 40 years as I must tell you that another fellow classmate has gone on ahead of us to Heavens Home. I am speaking about my first love, my high school sweetheart, my former husband and the father of my heart, my son Paul. Richard Paul Smith, aka Rick or as some that knew him from earlier years before Rogers as Rickey! FYI: Ricks funeral will be held this Friday, August 8th 2014 at 11AM @ Yale Avenue Christian Church located at 36th and South Yale. I would so appreciate your prayers for mine and Ricks only child Paul at this sorrow filled time in his world. Paul is the only child Rick had and now is left with just me. Needless to say that Rick will be missed so very much and left us way to soon. Thank YOU ALL and to YOU ALL I send my sincerest LOVE.....THANK YOU FOR YOUR FRIENDSHIPS OVER ALL THESE YEARS AND FOR TAKING TIME TO REMEMBER RICK AS THE FUNNY, KIND AND FRIEND TO ALL. I can tell you the happiest days of Ricks life was spent along side of You and me in the hallowed halls of our WILL ON THE HILL.....REST IN PEACE DEAREST RICHARD....THANK YOU FOR SO MANY MEMORIES OF LAUGHTER from his silly jokes, pranks, just to name a few that I know many of you can recall as if it were last Friday night down in the trees of Our Beloved Turner Park where it was always a good time for all, in fact as I speak of it now I am reminded of pulling up and seeing Rick in his birthday suit streaking through the trees in all his glory....LOL!!...To know Rick is and was to LOVE HIM BAR NONE!!.....BLESSINGS AND SWEET PEACE I PRAYERFULLY WISH AND SEND TO EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU, OUR DEARER THAN DEAR FRIENDS.....~~ BREN ~~
