To All My Wonderful Facebook Friends: Some of you may have heard that my beloved dad passed away last Wednesday night, July 17. His funeral was held today, Sunday, July 21, at the Nance Church of Christ with burial in Nance Cemetery. We had a terrific gathering and I saw so many dear folks I had not seen in years. Today underscored the fact that Crockett County is a very special place. I feel so fortunate to have grown up there with so many great people. We are going to miss Dad terribly but he had 90 amazing years here on Earth. As you know, he was fiercely independent and would not have been happy living in such a restrictive environment as the nursing home. Mom was not able to go to the services. My sister and I thought it was best for her fragile health if she stayed at the nursing home today. We plan to take her out to the cemetery next week when things are quieter. Thanks to all of you who have inquired about Dad and Mom. Both are in the best possible places for them right now. I love all my dear Facebook friends and realize how truly blessed I am to have had so many dear people as part of my life. Thanks to all of you and every one of you. Love to all, Jeff.
