Sir, We the students of food technology and food science and nutrition would like to discuss about the following issues: Qualification for the post of food inspector: We would like to inform that the eligibility criteria for the post of food inspector in Andhra Pradesh was general science where as in other states he/she should be a graduate of food technology/ food science, nutrition and its related subjects. We would request you to take certain measures to bring about certain changes in the eligibility criteria of food inspectors like other states or taking measures to bring about certain percentage of food inspector posts to food science and technology and its related subjects. Eligibility criteria of Phd food process engineering: We request you to go through the eligibility criteria of Phd food process engineering and make certain changes regarding this issue. As food technology has been clubbed with engineering we request you to change Phd food process engineering into food process engineering and technology and give eligibility to M.sc food technology students and also increase the seats of it and making provision to do their Phd under the supervision of professors of PGRC and CFST. In case it is not possible we would request you to start up the course of phd under PGRC. Stipend for the students of M.Sc food technology: Every student perceiving M.Sc in our university was granted with stipend except food technology. The course of M.Sc food technology was started in 2005. The students of departments like Biotechnology and water technology and many departments which were started later were getting stipend but the students of food technology did not perceive the eligibility for stipend the reason behind it was not known till now.
