To Joe M. Mutambu, MP Mwingi Central From We the Constituents RE: WOMEN ENTERPRISE FUND Greetings from your fellow constituents. Dear our Hon. MP. Besides saying hello to you, we also have a case begging for urgent action, and we fully believe, as our voice you are, you should help kick the setbacks away, while setting things straight for us, the people you represent. We the women of your area have experience unnecessary delays and phony financial dealings in our quest for Women Enterprise Funds. Well, we understand this is a Semi-Autonomous Government Agency in the Ministry of Devolution & Planning providing accessible and affordable credit to support women start and/or expand business for wealth and employment creation. There’s nothing more important, always, than creating jobs for responsible women who are willing to set up enterprises and earn a living and grow the economy. But right now, the women of Mwingi face unexplained hardships accessing the support they’re entitled to by their own government. To access the loans (which are issued at Co-operative Bank, Mwingi) these women have first to get a bank loan, which, as things are corruptly done down there, now qualifies one to get the governments loan, and not until you’ve serviced the first. This is irresponsible. It is an outrage, and it should stop. We say we can no longer accept these phony dealings where the bank on focus unlawfully uses government funds disbursed to help people grow their income to enrich itself. We need a clean process where those who have clear plans on how and where to invest get the support they need right away. And for any leader who talks so passionately about making life easier for his people, this is a best platform to support. You are our leader. We know you can help. That’s why we write to you. That’s why we hired you. Help clear the irresponsible behavior at Co-operative bank Mwingi, and help give your people chance to breathe. We are waiting, dear Honorable, on your timely action. But what we want you to understand is that our women who are ready to invest and need support through WEF don’t have the luxury of waiting. So we ask you, and kindly, to move fast. We tell you that doing nothing is not an option, and we are ready to hold demos if the menace persist. Thank you Mheshimiwa. God bless you, and may God bless the people of Mwingi Central.
