To Sue Easley and your entire family, I was proud to know Stephen Easley and be supported by his wise and kind counsel throughout many issues. It is easy to say that Stephen was a tremendous public servant who was focused on the people he served because it was obvious. He was also one of the greatest brain trusts to serve in our legislature. In a political world wherein vast segments of the world scoff at science, intelligence, history, simple decency and civility, the loss to the intellectual struggle of seeing the bigger picture from the standpoint of the greater good, without malice or grudges, is immeasurable. Thank you for sharing him with us all and know that we grieve with you and send our love and heartfelt regard for your husband, father, grandfather and friend.
