To all Pastor Aides Presidents and armor bearers your job by description is to provide for or protect the pastor and his or her family. More important than carrying the pastor’s bags or his/her bible your job is to protect your leader. If your pastor does not have a life insurance policy that is providing protection of his income and or providing for future growth then you are failing at your job. If funds are not being set aside in a retirement account for your pastor and his spouse, then you are really neglecting your job. God did not call you or assign you to your pastor or his family just to be an errand boy or girl. Your job is so more important than that. You have to be the voice in the church to make sure that even if the church cannot afford to pay him or her that something constructively is being done to bless them. And leaders you make like how it makes you feel to have someone waiting on you like you are a rock star, but growing older and being broke or dying without an insurance policy will only taint your reputation. I have people who will assist me, I tell them there are things I will do for myself, I am not a rock star and don’t want to be treated like one. I expect them to watch out and be there when people are trying to steal money from me when I preach and even then, I tell them don’t worry about it, just let me know and then we don’t accept engagements to that ministry again. If you are a pastor aide president or an armor bearer speak up for your pastor and purchase a key person life insurance policy for your pastor. They or their family will thank you for it later. You say you have a heart for the pastor, and then look out for my financial well being. I really can wipe the sweat from my forehead. I really can carry my bible or get dressed by myself. Yea, you may want to look at me before I go out to the public to make sure I am in order, but that is the least of your job. Today get together with your committee and contact me so we can place a life insurance policy on your pastor and begin funding a retirement account for them. Pastors get out of the way and let the people who are assigned to you take care of you. Men and Women of God let those who are assigned to protect you, do just that protect you.
