To all bks-pbks IMO….A soul is not a point of physical light, but a spark of spiritual energy (consciousness) which is represented by a point on paper. The spiritual energy-soul cannot connect to the physical body directly without the intervening subtle(astral) body…..and this subtle body is the yatharth-roop of soul and is remembered in all bhakti-marg pictures/movies and is called by various names in various religions as soul-atma-ruh-spirit-ghost. IMO….The deeper meaning of soul is : With the help of light of godly-knowledge, our mind & intellect converge to a point and we become soul-conscious (as in satyug-treta)…but when our mind & intellect battle each other, we become body-conscious.(as in dwapur-kaliyug) It is said in av-vanis that in future, DEH(body) and DEHI (subtle angelic body) will be seen as two distinct entities which will be seen by the whole world. In Gita it is mentioned: Atma ko talwar kaat nahi sakti...hawa sukha nahi sakti...pani galaa nahi sakti...aag jalaa nahi sakti ........yeh suxma-sharir ke liye kaha hai ??(jo bhavishya mei saari duniya dekhegi)..... yaa bindi-point ke liye kaha hai ??
