To all of my lifelong friends and family members who are geeky and way into geeky things. Stop for a minute and contemplate this: we live in a world where there is a brand new STAR WARS movie filming. Somewhere, Han, Luke and Leia are filming right now. Take off your cynical hat (the its not gonna be good, its been too long, theyre too old hat) and really think about that. We live in a world where Joss Whedon is shooting a new AVENGERS movie with all the heroes we used to dream about. We live in a world where Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman are going to be in a new film that will lead to a JUSTICE LEAGUE film. We live in a world where there is an amazing new GODZILLA film in theaters where he is the hero. We live in a world where an amazing new PLANET OF THE APES movie is coming in less than two months. We live in a world where almost every film, tv show and song is at our fingertips. Where we have phones that fit in our pockets that are more powerful than a cray computer. Where we can talk to someone on the other side if the planet, share videos and pictures in real time with them and where all the information on earth is at our fingertips. You can go back to hating life and cursing how bad everything sucks in a few minutes. Right now, just think about that for just a minute. We are in the future. The future is now.
