To anyone planning on doing a concert or event, NEVER work with Republic Polytechnic. Firstly, theyre a bunch of penny-pinching miserly bastards who only care about squeezing as much money as possible. Instead of being understanding hosts, they will chase you out of the performance area once your time is up, with no hint of decorum or courtesy. Secondly, their resident light crew are a bunch of insipid morons with the IQs slightly higher than that of cardboard boxes. For some strange reason, they seem to lack the ability to understand even the simplest of instructions. These are instructions, I would hasten to add, that even a gibbon suffering from Alzheimers would be able grasp without too much difficulty. It would seem to me however, that I have discovered a sub-species of human beings who hold fast to the belief that intelligence is just something that happens to other people. Moral of the story: If you plan to rent the Republic Polytechnic Cultural Centre, heres some advice for you. Dont.
