To anyone who thinks that food stamps and food shelves for poor people in dire need of help are some sort of entitlement program needing to be cut...I challenge you to take a few hours out of your day actually volunteering at an area food shelf to find out, firsthand, just how difficult the lives of people needing such services actually are...before you pass judgement, walk a few steps in the shoes of those you so quickly wish to cut from the teet of entitlement programs. This boils my blood, many in our society, who have NEVER had to resort to accessing such services, seem to think that scapegoating the lowest income individuals amongst us as the root of our problems are sadly misguided, anyone who has such a belief has not EVER rolled up their sleeves and volunteered a minute of their own time directly helping and I challenge any of you to do so who believe along these same lines, go volunteer some of your invaluable time, get to know some of these people, talk to and interact with them, hear their REAL LIFE stories of hardship and why they are there for free food handouts THEN judge away. Until then judge not....
