To: ashton@air1 From: New Air1 Listener Subj: Why Church? Hey Ashton, Im new listening to Air1 & a new Christian. But I have a question. Why do I need to go to church? Every time I go, I feel like Im being judged. Whats the point? -New Listener -------------------------------------------------- Hey New Listener, Welcome on in! Glad youve discovered a relationship with Christ & Gods unending love! Im incredibly happy for you!! Also incredibly honored youve started listening to Air1! Thank you. So, Why church? Well... because. Seriously... because! Church is more than a place to go on Sunday. Many times in the bible, it puts it as; church = body of Christ. Christs now in you, Hes the head & youre part of the body! Youre now repping Christ in the world. Church services are time for the body to come together, to worship & learn, inspire greater good, spawn enriching relationships, explore deeper love with authentic living. Kinda hard to do that solo. Were humans. We need interactions to grow & develop. So on that whole interaction-thing note, I encourage you to introduce yourself. Interact & talk to those youre feeling judged by. Ask if they are... Thats the fast-track approach! (Usually, we discover its not judgement. Its human curiosity, likely triggering shy insecurities and leading to those drooling blank-stare exchanges. Which can fire-up our insecurities & feelings of inadequacy.) Its really a hot mess! So ask! Im a huge fan of asking questions! Without questions, how do we learn?!? ...Ok, this is getting deep. But never forget, Jesus died for you! That speaks volumes & signifies your worthiness!! Dont quit! Keep joining the body & worship! Its not the same without you as a part of it! ...In a small nutshell, thats why church! Welcome in! Ashton
