To be acceptable into the presence of God is not a mean feat,it takes much more than our desires and will. Psalm 24:4 says Those who are pure in act and thought,who do not worship idols or make false promises. I know on my own cognisance I do not meet this exacting standard to stand before God or to minister to you on his behalf. Then how do I claim to be a servant of God when I do not meet the minimum requirements of acceptance into His presence?? My claim is born and dies on the person of Jesus Christ who took my sin and imputed his righteousness upon me. By the power of the Holy Spirit he constantly renews me to His own image and sanctifies me with His word to be a priest of the Most Hign God (John 17:17,Rom 12:1,John 16:13). It is not by my power or might but by the grace of God who offerd His very own self in the likeness of a human (Jesus) that through him,you and I may know and be acceptable to him.
