To bolster up their ties, India and Australia signed five pacts on social security, transfer of sentenced prisoners, combating narcotics trade, tourism, and Arts and Culture. The government is creating a National Industrial Corridor Development Authority to facilitate setting up of industrial corridors in the country. The Authority will carry out project development activities, appraise and sanction projects, implement and coordinate all central efforts for industrial corridor development of all industrial corridors. Former India captain Dilip Vengsarkar will receive the C.K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award for 2014 in the 8th Annual BCCI Awards. Medium pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been chosen for the annual Polly Umrigar Award for best international cricketer of the 2013-14 season. Indias Harinder Pal Singh Sandhu held his own to defeat Hong Kongs Yip Tsz Fung in an exciting three-game affair to win gold in the mens squash event at the Asian Beach Games, which is currently taking place at Phuket in Thailand. Apart from Sandhu, India got two more bronze medals in Kush Kumar (mens singles) and Aparajitha Balamurukan (womens singles).
