To follow up on my earlier post about the builder: We get an email from the lending company that says we can lock in our mortgage rate but LENNAR has told them they are going to TRY to get us to closing within 45 days but arent going to pay for each day past that. We have been told for over a month that closing is set on Feb 13th. Jim and of course I nearly blew a blood vessel. We had just talked to Lennar rep, real estate person & contractor and all was still set for Feb 13th. After Jim got done blowing off steam to all parties involved, he ran up to the apartment office and asked if there was any way to have more time here in the apartment. They said the new folks are moving in Mar 10th or so and they could give us till Mar 2nd and that is it. That stupid building company is taking NO and I mean NO responsibility about their product. They have pointed fingers at everyone else. If I ran my business like that-I would not be celebrating 21 years in business this year. The buck stops here with me. If is messed up and not even my fault due airline scheduling or messes, I am still held accountable and I make it as right as I can. No one is talking to each other at all in that company. So for the sake of your sanity, wallet and life dont have LENNAR build you a home at least here in Austin. O M G It was a year Sunday that we moved into this apartment for a 5 month stay. Now I am going to take a pill and start Groundhog Day all over again tomorrow!!
