To hear this should cause some pause....if anyone strikes an officer and grabs his gun, what would we expect him to do? Removing all race from this situation, it seems pretty scary to think officers being beaten and guns pulled from their hand-have no right to defend their own life. It sounds as though the officer asked this young man to stop and warned him multiple times, with something like 40 witnesses testifying to seeing this. A loss of life is always a sad event, as someone that loves teenagers an 18 year old is hard to hear that his life was ended. I hate so much the thought of this mothers grief! I would feel like sadness for this officer and his family if it had been him instead. It is a tragedy for sure, but continuing hate and criminal behavior does not represent him well.
