To help celebrate-commemorate the retirement of my good friend, Captn TD from US Airways, I spent the entire HOT summer and then some working on restoring/creating this replica of Northwest Airlines Boeing Stratocruiser Honolulu for his 4 day blow-out retirement party here last month. It was Captn TD you see, 34 years ago at our first airline job, who was responsible for my 34 year old passion with the history of those large 1950s era recip. airliners produced by Douglas, Lockheed and Boeing. Blue Skies... Captn TD! PS. I guess it was fortunate that the entire airplane wasnt for sale during that NW layover of mine in Tucson 15 years ago, eh?
