To many people are trying to get Abrahams blessing with Thomas faith, and that just wont work. Believers have the Abraham kind of faith. Gal. 3:29 says, And if you are Christs, than you are Abrahams seed, and heirs according to the promise. Gal 3:7 says, therefore know that those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. Thomas said, unless I see and feel I will not believe. Jesus reveals Himself and says to him, be not faithless, but believing...because you see, you believed: blessed are those that have not seen, and yet believe. Heb. 11;1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen. Heb. 11:8-12 says that Abrahams faith pleased God. Lets look at Abraham who, like God, calls those things that are not and though they were. Rom. 4:17 Abrahams faith was based on ...being fully persuaded that, what He, (God) had promised, He was able also to perform. Abraham believed God and he believed Gods promise (considering Not contradictory circumstances.) Real faith in God is based on His Word. Believing God is believing His Word!
