To me it seems like the only solution on the Palestinian matter, it to create a buffer zone between Israel and all the Palestinians territories with an international force authorized to interdict Israeli predations, as well as find and punish Palestinian malefactors. That this Peacekeeping force would be in effect for a limited period, say 3 years, during which time Israel and the elected Palestinian authorities could negotiate whatever agreement they chose, but at the end of which in absence of such agreement, there would be full international recognition of a Palestinian state, the Peace keepers would stay and the embargo/blockade would be declared illegal and Palestinian entrance, egress and trade would be put under the protection of the international forces, authorized to ensure free flow of goods and people by force. An airport and full port would be constructed and Palestinian rights to the vast natural gas fields off their shores would be enforced. In this solution Israel would not be deprived of any right of self defense against her neighbours and the Palestinian people would be given a measure of freedom at first and full freedom with or without the agreement of Israel in a defined period. Israel would immediately, and long term have vastly increased security for her people.
