To my Muslim friends, and others who may dig Islam - may I request that you tell me your favourite ahadeeth, Quran verses, stories of Muhammad? I ask partly because, as a Baháí, a love and reverence of Muhammad is expected and encouraged; but also because I know so much about the jihad ideology and the ways in which the Quran and Sunnah are used by the bin Ladenists, ISIS types, Ikhwan, etc., to justify violence, persecution of non-Muslims, misogyny, homophobia et al., that despite my great love of many individual aspects of Islam or ancillary phenomena related to it, and of course my wonderful experiences at the El-Tawhid Juma Circle, my vision of Islamic doctrine, history et cetera is mostly negative. Not because I believe the bad stuff reflects the truth, but because I only *know* the bad stuff well. I want to know the beautiful and humane stuff, the stuff that draws yall to Islam and keeps you involved and identified with it - especially stories that make you love or appreciate Muhammad, about whom I know little beyond the corrupt jihadi vision of him. I would like to try to be able to develop the relationship to him that I have to other messengers like Jesus or Nanak, to say nothing of Baháulláh or Abdul-Bahá. And of course its also just an interesting thing to talk to yall about! Get at me!
