To my author friends: How do you view the difference between writer and author? For instance: - Is someone who writes a writer even if they havent been published? - Is someone who writes but doesnt submit their writing for publication a writer? - Do you need to be published to be an author? Does it need to be a book or short story, or would newspaper items count? - Is someone who writes proposals, technical documentation, or research papers a writer or an author?
