When you were 2 years old I held you in my arms I kissed you & said I loved you I had to say goodbye…… After a few years, by chance of fate I saw you again You must have been about 5 Never a photo or letter did I receive But you were there, so beautiful and small Visiting with your grand parents So young, so beautiful So sweet, so innocent How I longed to hold you To kiss you, to say I loved you To let you know I am your mom But……I could not hold you I could not kiss you & tell you I love you My hands were tied, We had an agreement……. My heart was broken & I cried. The agreement was never kept I was pushed to the outside I hoped and prayed that agreements would survive I waited year after year for a photo or a letter Of my lovely adorable child We tried to search for you My aunt, my mom and I But my dad always said ‘She will find you She will come back Be patient my child’ Now… after 25 years His words have come true You have found me my child I am so looking forward to meeting you My beautiful, darling, baby girl I would like to be your mother, But most of all I would like to be your friend ♥
