To my dearest mother Lorretta Read-goldinv To my wonderful mother on mothering Sunday, You are someone so special in every way, Without you dear mother I would not be here, Which is just one small reason I hold you so dear. You raised me with kindNess and so much care, Showed me you loved me and would always be there, You stroked my hair and soothed my troubles for me, Just some of the reasons I hold you so dear, you see. You showed me the difference between right and wrong, You offered words of wisdom, taught me to be strong, You taught me to have courage when going through strife, And lovingly held my hand and walked me through life. Yes you dear mother, you have taught me so much, With your loving words and your tender touch, Above all, you showed me Reads bend, then stand up tall, And never to whither away, or crumble like a wall. You taught me to be proud and be a kind loving soul, And to make helping others my life long goal, You see mother I admire you, I hope that is clear? And yet just another reason I hold you so dear. You taught me to fight on and never lose hope, And taught me life lessons on how to cope, You taught me to get up again after every fall, And taught me to shine and be a beacon to all. So my message to you, to you my darling mother, Is I would never change you, or wish for another, Because you dear mother, you outshine the rest, And I thank you deeply, for I am truly blessed.
