To my friends in the photo community: I hope this note finds you well! I wanted to clear up any potential confusion about my involvement in the industry as of late, as I know you’ve seen/heard me mention both Photographer’s Edit and the I Have a Life brand. I’m still one of the owners of photographersdit, specializing in custom post-production for the professional photographer. We’re continuing to grow, both organically and as a result of two acquisitions in the last 9 months, and I’ll continue to help guide and grow the brand in the coming years. However, much of my time will now be spent on a new lifestyle brand that I just launched, at ihavealife. IHL’s focus is freedom for the entrepreneur. I got into business for myself largely because I craved freedom and flexibility, and I’m sure that most of you thought you’d also have the same benefits when you launched your businesses. The sad reality, however, is that many - if not most - photographers in our industry are working long hours, and aren’t enjoying the freedom that they expected to have as a business owner. That’s where ihavealife comes in. Through IHL, I want to enable photographers to be Free - Free to Be whatever they want to be, whenever they want to be. I want to help them create an efficient business and personal lifestyle that will enable them to have time again - time to focus on what really matters to them. I’ll be offering this help via education - seminars, the blog, a newsletter, and coaching - as well as community, where photographers and other entrepreneurs can share what they’re doing to get their lives back. We’ll be launching the community soon, but in the meantime, if you have any questions, or would like to request a Free to Be seminar in your area of the country, feel free to comment below, or send me a message. Have a great evening! I’m off to spend time with my family. :)
