To our Games Workshop customers: we want to apologize for any - TopicsExpress

To our Games Workshop customers: we want to apologize for any delivery delays that you may have experienced in our first several months of carrying Games Workshop products. It has taken a few months of getting to know Games Workshop, getting to know our clients, and making mistakes for us to learn how to most optimally serve everyone and handle quirks that may exist within the Games Workshop ordering process. To help correct for issues in the ordering and delivery process/Games Workshop notification system, we have built a new store-order process (effective today) to verify that your products are coming in correctly and to quickly notify you if Games Workshops website incorrectly showed an item in-stock that wasnt, or if they are shipping part of your order from a separate warehouse with a different arrival date, or if there are any other delays or issues that your order may have in arriving promptly and correctly. (We will ask for your preferred method of contact if any issues do arise with your order). We will also daily check on tracking numbers so that we can give an accurate expected arrival date at any time (though we cannot control weather or FedEx/UPS internal delivery problems). In-store, we will hold a list with your name and your ordered products on it in a set location so that any volunteer at the desk can check to see if your product has arrived; the list will also contain your expected delivery date if it has not arrived. We have also made alternate delivery arrangements so that we can pick up packages from GW that have arrived on a given day after regular business hours. We hope that all of these internal processes and that this extra work on our part will ensure more accurate, efficient, and hassle-free orders on your part; as usual, you can expect your 20% discount off MSRP by ordering through your local store. We do want to thank you for your help and feedback as we have gone from carrying no GW products and having no organized play space to carrying a large volume of GW kits, paints, tools, and specialty products, creating a play space with nearby storage, a worktable with lamps, storage areas, and more in less than a year. Such a short-term growth would not be possible without a community that was willing to work together, forgive and move on when mistakes are made, encourage fellow hobbyists, as well as figure out how to make the hobby and gaming experience more enjoyable to prospective new players. With that in mind, we do hope to go ahead and offer some community painting and playing opportunities in the next 6 months, and we hope that many of you can help with that. Along the way, please remember that feedback is critically needed (we cant fix something that we dont know is an issue, and we may not continue doing things that people like if we dont know they are liked) and that your ideas are always appreciated. Thanks for making a Warhammer and Warhammer 40K community possible in this area, and Merry Christmas! PS Please notice that todays Day of Christmas Sale (which continues until we close Tuesday the 23rd) is a Games Workshop One. Merry Christmas!
