To push yourself past old limits means you need to have no limits on how you do it. Here are a few to try: 1. Do more reps. 2. Use more weight. 3. Take shorter rest times between sets, reps and body parts. 4. Use multiple ways to train the same body part. That is, use barbells, dumbbells, cables or bodyweight-only exercises… even if it means using all of them all in the same set! 5. Use forced reps with a partner. 6. Give yourself forced reps by dropping the pin down a few plates after every 3 reps, or do a few reps with heavy weight and then do then next few reps with lighter weight, etc. 7. Get creative and think of other ways you can push yourself past your old limits, and then try them.
