To say that suicide is an act of cowardice is the most insensitive - TopicsExpress

To say that suicide is an act of cowardice is the most insensitive commentary I have ever heard. Most often people who are suffering from from severe mood swings, depression, and mental illness feel as if they are a burden to their beloved family and friends and often their unrelenting suicidal ideation tourchers them because for the most part these individuals have been overly generous in their lives and are terrified of becomming a burden to their loved ones. Their suicidal ideation manifests as a result of a desire liberate their loved ones from any burden that they foresee might be on the horizon related to their mental or physical health imbalance. We as a society have become completely insensitive to the nature of human suffering. We expect people to rally and pull them selves up by the boot straps regardless of circumstances. How insensitive and comfortably numb have we become that we cant relate to understandable human paradox and suffering. The challenges we face as we get older in a culture that cares very little for its elders. Please remember how sacred tears are and how tender emotions can be when revealed vulnerably. Human beings are not robots and there is no right or wrong way to deal with some difficult dilemmas. Compassion, non-judgement, and empathy are the holy lense in which to view our fellow brothers and sisters. But for the grace of God go you or I - let us not condem one another anymore. God bless. God speed. God watch over us all. Let us pray for each other without judging. Amen. XoCat
