To the average work a day USPS letter carrier I say God bless you, my next diatribe is NOT directed at you. However, I am very disappointed in USPS right now. Back story: I had thru Amazon ordered a wonderful book written by Lincoln Child which I am so looking forward to reading. I had requested 2 day shipping as its part of Amazon prime. Amazon sent it to the correct addresss but somehow it wound up being redirected to the wrong postoffice. So I called Amazon when I was electronically notified of the redirect. They did a 3 way w/myself and USPS, the First individual didnt even speak English. The Amazon individual also had English as a second language, but even he said His English was attrocious we both could not understand what this guy was saying. Also his attitude was HORRIBLE, and he wound up hanging up on me when I insisted on speaking to a manager more than once. His reply had been, that wont help you Well we called again, god bless Nelson of Amazon he stayed w/ me thru the entire ordeal. We spoke to a young lady who at least spoke much better English and at first sounded like she was willing to help. She was explaining to me that the book had been redirected when it hit Maryland. It had been sent to Rockville and would be sent to Gaithersburg. I said great, when can I expect the book to be delivered? She replied 2 to 8 business days, as this was shipped as a package. Nelson and I were floored, we paid for EXPRESS 2 day shipping was said to her in unison from both of us. She said let me go get my supervisor and thats when we got hung up on a second time! At this point Nelson just put a refusal on this order and sent me another book via UPS. I called USPS again and spoke to a gentleman and placed a comment. I could not do a formal complaint because I didnt have names. I told this guy I have lost faith in my USPS, it should not take 2 to 8 business days to travel less than an hour (not even 1/2 hour) to get to my apt. I have not changed my address, so there is no reason for this mixup. Simply put I have no faith and neither does Nelson of Amazon.
