To the exported humans who are destined to be ‘sacrificed’ - TopicsExpress

To the exported humans who are destined to be ‘sacrificed’ today: It’s uncomfortable to think on what is happening to you — but this is nothing compared to being forced to live through it. We came face to face with you in Jordan and Kuwait — half a world away from ‘home’. Our investigators flew in aeroplanes to meet you, but you arrived after weeks of stress and discomfort on a live export ship. Some of your companions didn’t survive. Those who were charged with your care have now turned their backs on you. Deals have been made. Rules have been broken. You now find yourselves in places you were never meant to be. A strip of red paint across your back marks you for ‘sacrifice’. At dusty roadside markets you now wait, soon to be picked off one by one, stuffed into car boots, and butchered in back streets and makeshift abattoirs. They say during the Festival of Sacrifice, the streets run red with blood. If only this were an exaggeration. What you will face in the coming days may well represent the very worst of humanity. For, there are some people in this world who are yet to understand that like us, humans are unique individuals too — who know fear and pain — and a deep rooted desire to be free from suffering. If it were possible to save each and every one of you — we would. Tragically, those who have the ultimate power to end this trade in suffering are yet to act — but we are getting closer to the day when this will change. Every time we expose the horrors that befall the victims of live export, pressure mounts and fewer humans are exported as a result. One day there will be none. But until then, we will continue to bear witness, tell your story with passion and dignity, and build a swell of compassion and action on your behalf. We make a solemn promise to you: your suffering will never be in vain. Every day this cruelty continues, we will raise our voices. We will get louder. We wont go away. And for every politician who attempts to defend this cruel trade, many thousands of compassionate individuals will be there to speak out, loudly, in your name. we need to speak out again the slave trade once again..... it is on the rise thou out the middle east. and if nations will not stop it then we well be the next to die at the sword of Islam.
