To the people who live in the Obion Creek watershed District. The Board will meet March 11 at 7:30am to open bids. This Board collects property taxes in Graves County. Weve been trying to keep up with their activity ever since it was put back on our tax bills in 2009. They have been talking about possibly raising this tax. Which they have a legal right to do. This tax was not collected for over 50yrs. When it came back to light we the taxpayer in Graves County was not notified from any of our local officials. The fiscal court at that time doesnt have any Idea how it got back on the tax roll. Ive questioned them on this issue. When it comes to tax payers wanting answers we just cant get straight answers. I believe elected officials should be up to date on any tax that effects their constiuents. We in Graves County pay the bulk of the money collected through this tax. If anyone would like more info. on this matter just post on Danny Foy for District #1 Graves County Commisioner
