To the persecuted African Christian! Jesus says, “When they persecute you in one town [that is, pursue you in a manner that would injure you and cause you to suffer because of your belief], flee to another town; for truly I tell you, you will not have gone through all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.” (Matthew 10:23 – Amp.) So, you aren’t proving anything by staying put: …And that time there was a great persecution against the Church …..; and they were all scattered abroad…(Acts 8:1) It’s not going to get better: Jesus says, “…Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.” Matthew 12:45 (NKJV). Jesus says, “…For this nation’s heart has grown gross (fat and dull), and their ears heavy and difficult of hearing, and their eyes they have tightly closed, lest they see and perceive with their eyes, and hear and comprehend the sense with their ears, and grasp and understand with their heart, and turn and I should heal them.” Matthew 13:15 (Amplified). Jesus says, “Make haste, and get thee quickly out of there: for they will not receive thy testimony concerning me.” (Acts 22:18) Therefore, the Holy Spirit is saying, Clutch your Bible under your armpit and take a walk, brethren!
