To the writer who wrote this article, You dont know anything about our schools nor the parents involvement. Unless you have attended our schools, taught in it or even lived in the city you do not have any right to criticize or pass judgment on our children and parents. Lets get the record straight, first and foremost Mr. Vallas did communicate with parents on numerous meetings and forums but of course you were not there. If you want to sit down with your pen and pad and write and article, why dont you write about the corrupted board and its cronies. Not to mention that our board is the only one in the state who rewards principals for abusing children. Why dont you get off your ass, come down to the city and speak to parents and educators alike and get the truth. Mr. Vallas while here has made attempts to further the higher learning education for our children, and thats their right, But when you have a board who is obviously not a democracy minded board and only want s our children to accept the status quo when a opportunity has been taken from them time after time. Our board does nothing but throw mud on each other and used their power for their own personal use. Not once have we heard any member use the word CHILDREN in their vocabulary. Make your comments useful and sit down at one of the board meetings and get a real taste of what is happening to our children.
