To those of you who are parents, we are all in this together. Life happens. We have to give up our illusions of perfection. Perhaps one of the greatest illusions is that we have is that we can somehow ALWAYS keep our children safe.…to love our children the way we do is dangerous. So deeply so completely, with everything that we have. In our love for our kids we take an enormous risk, the biggest risk of our lives: that is the risk of monumental devastation. It is indescribable.....But the joy the pure innocent euphoria of being a parent...that, that I wouldnt give up for a second. It is my honor to be their mother.
