To you obsessed with sound quality as more important than the music, you are totally missing the point. It is a bootleg, meaning someone in the audience recorded it, probably on a Radio Shack cassette. It is Jazz History. Another moment in the musical life of one of the greatest genius virtuoso giants of all time. His playing is always totally honest, from the naked heart and soul. This is part of his life story and a period and moment in the ever changing and evolving musical style of Miles, who reinvented himself more times than anyone else in Jazz music. So I can get with it to share that moment of his musical epic adventure, and appreciate the honesty of it. He was exploring sound as well as music. If you cant get past the quality of the sound, your approach is superficial and shallow of soul. No insult intended, but please wake up to real life, and listen with your heart and soul, not just your critical intellect. If a lost Rembrandt was discovered and the paint was somewhat faded, it that all you would see and prattle and whine (yes, I agree with the girl who said whine) about? (This is now an edit) The more I think about it, the more disgusted I get, so I am making my comment a little stronger, to make sure you dont miss my point like you missed Miles. Please Google prattle. Don Nance, I have no problem with your comment. It is about the music. Not everyone can enjoy musical moments like this. Miles has 100 hours or more of beautiful, tender, melodic, romantic music. Porgy & Bess for instance. Please explore and discover the side of Miles I am sure you will love. MagiCaL Q LateR / CalVine CoolAge - 55+ year Pro Jazz Pianist with dozens of the greatest, recorded with Al Jarreau, Herb Jeffries, Henry Franklin Sr. and others., and I and many other gifted artists have personally suffered greatly at the hands of bookers, managers, club owners, & bandleaders, who listen with their head, not their heart, hence a little bitterness. Please forgive me. I normally am kind and gentle in my speech, but this a sore point. I am 77, and wanted to speak out on this before my time on the planet is over.
