Today 1834 Selina Copeland having sent to me a present of marino for a dress for Hannah - I handed it to her. Evening: Made many experiments for the better arrangement of the furniture on my floor - chest of drawers, &c. Jas & Mary out by appointment to see Mrs Reeves No 9 Bayham Terrace, Camden Road & to engage the 1st Floor, furnished, with the attendance of a Servant. [Merino wool is known for its insulating properties and was particularly expensive until the development of the appropriate breed of sheep in Australia in the 1830s.]
