Today, 19 years ago, I was laying in the hospital preparing to welcome my baby into this world. I was not sure what to expect as i was as big as the broadside of a barn and could not see my feet or knees for that matter! The anticipation of getting to see life enter the world was scary and exciting at the same time. Around 3pm my baby boy entered into this world at 19-1/2 weighing 7lbs 1 oz. The 19 years to follow this wonderful day have been full of ups, downs and lots of trying times! I have seen my son struggle in life, friendships and love. I have seen him struggle to find his nitch and to struggle with addiction, BUT, he has always gotten up, brushed off and got back on his feet. I am proud to call him MY SON! I have not waivered in my walk as his mother and I have not left him to figure things out on his own. Today will be the ONLY year that he has not had a birthday cake. Makes me sad! :( So today, I am going to pray for him and pray that GOD will restore his confidence, remove the darkness in his mind and remove the craving for things that will ruin him! I will pray for restoration in his heart that he will be more focused on himself than with what others think of him, that he will be a TRUE leader and be able to give his testimony to other young people how addiction will affect not only them, but everyone around them! As I watch the clock today, I will be looking forward to seeing him tonight! HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOREST! I want you to remember that no matter what....no matter where....I am not ever going to leave you and I will always be there for you! I am the president of your Fan Club and I believe in you!
