Today, $60,000 that was raised at our annual Tea Room and Church Mouse Boutique went back out into the community, as representatives of 29 local charities were presented with their grants at the 11 am service. The 2014 Tea Room Grant Recipients are: Association for the Blind; Bishop Gadsen Resident Assistance Fund, The Ladies Fuel Society, One 80 Place (formerly Crisis Ministries), Star Gospel Mission, Florence Crittenton, James Island Outreach, Dee Norton Lowcountry Childrens Center, Center for Women, Coastal Crisis Chaplaincy, Carolina Youth Development Center, Canterbury House, I Heart Hungry Kids, The Lowcountry Food Bank, Teachers Supply Closet, Operation Sight, Charleston Port & Seafarers’ Society, Communities in Schools, WINGS, Bibbies Babies, Camp Good Times, ARK of South Carolina, Begin with Books, Charleston Area Senior Citizens, Charleston Habitat for Humanity, ITN Charleston Trident, East Cooper Community Outreach, East Cooper Meals on Wheels, and Palmetto Project.
