Today, BM2 Andrew Rodriguez was awarded the CG Achievement Medal for saving the life of a civilian woman. On October 18, 2014 BM2 Rodriguez was off-duty at a local retail sporting goods store when he responded to an unconscious woman who had no pulse or signs of breathing. BM2 Rodriguez immediately assessed the situation, made sure EMS was activated and began performing CPR until EMS arrived. Last week on Thursday December 11, 2014 BM2 Rodriguez was recognized by the EMS unit and given a Good Samaritan Award. Andrew was reunited with the EMS responders from the incident as well as the woman he helped save. Great job BM2 Rodriguez, your actions demonstrate the CG Core Values of Honor, Respect, and Devotion to Duty.
