Today I Celebrate Billy Jean who became Betty Barnes, who then became Rose Anderson. 1939 she was born into this earth filled with Love, humanitarianism and a will to succeed. At age 9 in the fourth grade she had to leave school to help care for her Aunt who raised her, her siblings and all of the military men her aunt cared for. She worked hard and she taught herself how to read at a college level. She then married had beautiful children who bore beautiful grandchildren and grey grandchildren. For our Family she was the Matriarch, a Father, our wisdom provider, a master chef, a seamstress, a prayer warrior, a friend, a confidant, a burden lifter, a bank, a comedian, the greatest story teller, a history keeper, and everything in between. Today I honor my Grandma for all of the contributions she made in this earth. She will never be forgotten!
