Today I found out that I lost my unemployment benefits for 5 weeks. When I moved back to Ft. Smith, I went to the Arkansas Workforce office to ensure that I was registered for work. They said that I was, and gave me my login information. But, as it turns out, my registration was in inactive status. No one informed me that there was a difference. So now my profile is active, but Texas Workforce says that I have to pay them back $1560 before they will give me additional funds. So for about 5 weeks, I will not be receiving anything. Scrambling trying to sell things on eBay to bring in some money for gas, food, etc. Today was not a good day for me. I found some change that I had packed away in the shop, so technically I am not penniless. Praying that tomorrow will be a “loaves & fishes” kind of day.
