Today I gathered on the iconic steps of Old Parliament House with Bill Shorten, Catherine King, Stephen Jones, my ACT colleagues, unions and community supporters to mark the 40th anniversary of the joint sitting that established universal health care in Australia – thanks to Labor. We created it, we’ve always believed in it and we will always fight to save it. Save Medicare from the Abbott Government’s Budget cuts.
