Today I got word that Dr Carolyn Mitchell Kittle, my Dads - TopicsExpress

Today I got word that Dr Carolyn Mitchell Kittle, my Dads Super-Ultra-Lab-Partners-for-Life during his postdoc days, had passed away a few months ago in Memphis, Tennessee. I remember her well, and have fond memories of her. She was a hugger, lolz. As a child I remember that she was very pretty, warm and affectionate, funny, witty, and smart. Perhaps a Tina Fey of science, but way before Tina Fey. In 1989 she punched out Determination of Selenium in Small Biological Samples by Graphite Furnace Atomic Absorption Spectrometry. How cool is that? I think she also had something to do with how I gravitate towards super smart and beautiful women in the sciences. I dont remember this, but my Dad says she was also an awesome businesswoman. Youll be missed Carolyn.
