Today I had my kids watch a few clips of Nick. It is important for me to teach compassion and understanding. It was amazing watching my boys watch this. I could feel that they were really interested in what he had to say. This man is a perfect example of overcoming huge obstacles in life. He could have SO many reasons why he is the victim and why life isnt fair but instead he uses his differences to educate and inspire others. What an amazing story he has! When I learn about stories like this, it really puts a fire under my butt to accomplish my goals because I dont have a disability holding me back. And in reality, his disability isnt really a disability to him because he has learned to make it work for him, not against him. A fantastic lesson in life.
