Today I had planned to do the Great Vegan South Morang Line - TopicsExpress

Today I had planned to do the Great Vegan South Morang Line Triple: 1) Admiral Cheng Hos (Victoria Park Station) 2) Loving Hut (Northcote Station) 3) La Panella (Preston Station) Unfortunately Loving Hut doesnt re-open til tomorrow. DOH! But I did enjoy the other two! Ive noticed, after 3 visits to Admiral Chengs, that the staff and customers all look like they hang out with Monica & Chandler & Phoebe & Ross -- all really good looking & hip & well groomed -- and very friendly! Early in my trip, while in the mens room at Richmond station, I think I discovered the perfect bogan: guy taking a whiz while holding his phone in one hand, talking loudly, with every third word fahkin. He then left, still talking, without washing his hands. Some interesting reading while on the train: studies of people with split brains -- a severed corpus callosum -- reveal that some are left-brain athiests, and right brain true believers! I was wondering if some people are split vegan/non-vegan? Or gay/straight? Another book was talking about how virtually all animal products are heavily subsidized by the government. What if we put pressure on the government to end the subsidies, and allow prices to rise to the point where very few people could afford to buy animal products? Governments used to consider animal products to be essential. We now know they are NOT! I was also reading about confirmation bias -- how we tend to read things that support what we already think. I certainly read tons about veganism, but do I really NEED to read about why people like to eat meat? Isnt that whole thing kind of a given? [Did anti-slavery people really need to read about the good side of slavery, to be properly balanced?] Anyway, at some point we should organize a small group to actually accomplish the great South Morang Line Vegan Triple!! Whos in??
