Today I have had the best birthday present ever . Ive finally got answers after an 8.5 year battle with the education department. Having been told Im over exaggerating, imagining things, do not know what Im talking about, and being told by the reception teacher that she is so naughty that she has not experienced that level of defiance in her 40 years of teaching on top of specialist looking at me and clearly laughing out loud at me. We paid for a private diagnosis that was then not recognised by wcc. But today I have been officially told in a form that will be recognised that yes Isabelle is autistic and guess what Im so proud of what she has achieved and how hard she has had to fight for everything - she has never given up and nor will I she is special beyond belief. Thank you to everyone who has been there along this very long journey x
