Today I made this video in honor of a friend and classmate, Dana Wilson Miller. I did not get to know her very well back in 1985, but through the magic of Facebook, we became friends. We shared a love a love of photography, big hair and make up, being snarky, and constant kidding about my love of snow and hers of heat and sunshine at the beach. It was always nice to know that if there was a full moon out, that the two of us were probably outside at the same time trying to get that perfect picture. The pictures she posted were gorgeous and I often saved them. Never once did it seem possible that I would be using them plus a few others for such a heartbreaking purpose. You see, on August 06, her life was taken from her in a manner no-one deserves. Chrissie van Tol stated that we should not remember her for the way in which her life ended, but for the way she lived life. She was not only beautiful and smart, but kind and sweet. Loved her family like crazy. Even when we were complaining about socks galore and dirty rooms, she complained with love. Tonight the moon is almost full and I am going to try and get that perfect photo and I am going to imagine that Dana will be dancing among those stars and that moon. Friends and family, this video is not perfect, the music doesnt match up in time with the pictures etc, etc....but please watch it. After you do, could you please share it with your friends and family?! What I am asking is for everyone to have a service, mass whatever said in Danas honor. It can be said anytime. If you can do this for me, please reply back to this post with the city, state, country, name of the pastor, priest, rabbi and the date that Her name will be honored. It seems like a lot to ask, but we all share silly posts etc, so why not take a minute or two and share this. I want her family to see how much everyone cares from everywhere.
